Description
A 48-inch damp-rated ceiling fan with integrated LED light kit from Fanimation's Spitfire collection, finished in brushed satin brass with natural buttonwood blades, for covered outdoor and humid indoor spaces.
The Spitfire combines a sleek three-blade design with a warm brushed satin brass finish and natural buttonwood blades, now enhanced with an integrated 18-watt dimmable LED light kit. The reversible AC motor delivers powerful airflow up to 5,176 CFM, while the included TR500 remote controls both fan speeds and light levels. Damp-rated construction makes it a versatile choice for covered patios, sunrooms, and bathrooms, and its smart-home compatibility adds modern convenience.
Best for
- Covered patios and porches, where damp-rated construction resists humidity without direct rain exposure
- Sunrooms and three-season rooms needing both air movement and ambient light
- Bathrooms and laundry rooms, where moisture resistance is essential and integrated lighting adds functionality
- Bedrooms and living areas with 12x12 ft or larger footprints, mounted on flat or slightly sloped ceilings
- Smart-home setups, with compatibility with Fanimation Wi-Fi fanSync and most smart devices (controls sold separately)
Not ideal for
- Outdoor areas directly exposed to rain or water, as this fan is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Rooms with ceilings under 7 ft, unless using the optional close-to-ceiling kit (sold separately)
- Spaces needing bright task lighting, as the 1500-lumen LED provides ambient illumination rather than focused light
How bright is it?
The integrated LED light kit produces 1500 lumens, roughly equivalent to a 100W incandescent bulb, providing comfortable ambient light for medium-sized rooms. It is dimmable, allowing you to adjust brightness to suit your mood.
Light color and feel
The LED emits 3000K warm white light, a soft, golden tone similar to traditional incandescent bulbs. With a CRI of 90, it renders colors accurately, making it suitable for spaces where color clarity matters. The light is dimmable, and the included TR500 remote allows infinite light levels.
Sizing and fit
With a 48-inch blade sweep and 21° blade pitch, this fan suits rooms of 12x12 ft or larger. It hangs 13.71 inches from the ceiling with the included 4.5-inch downrod, and optional downrods up to 72 inches allow for optimal 7–9 ft hanging height. The canopy is 7.09 inches in diameter, and the housing is 8.07 inches. It fits flat or slightly sloped ceilings (up to 19°).
