Description
A 48-inch damp-rated ceiling fan from Fanimation's Spitfire collection, finished in brushed satin brass with light oak blades, for covered patios, sunrooms, and large indoor spaces.
The Spitfire pairs a sleek three-blade silhouette with a warm brushed satin brass motor housing and light oak buttonwood blades, bringing a modern yet organic feel to any room. Its damp-rated construction means it can handle humidity and moisture, making it a versatile choice for both indoor and covered outdoor areas. With a powerful AC motor delivering up to 5,176 CFM, it keeps large spaces comfortable year-round.
Best for
- Covered patios and porches, where the damp-rated motor and moisture-resistant blades handle humidity without worry
- Sunrooms and three-season rooms that need reliable airflow in a stylish package
- Large living rooms and great rooms (up to 400 sq ft) where a 48-inch sweep provides effective circulation
- Bedrooms and home offices, using the reversible motor to improve air circulation and comfort in any season
- Bathrooms and laundry rooms, where damp-rated construction is a safe choice
Not ideal for
- Outdoor areas directly exposed to rain or water—this fan is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Rooms with ceilings lower than 8 feet, unless you use a flush mount kit (sold separately)
- Small spaces under 100 sq ft, where a 48-inch fan may feel overpowering
How bright is it?
This fan does not include a light kit, so brightness depends on the optional 18-watt LED light kit (sold separately), which provides 1500 lumens—about as bright as a 100W incandescent bulb, suitable for ambient lighting in a medium room.
Light color and feel
If you add the optional LED light kit, it emits 3000K warm white light—a soft, golden tone similar to traditional incandescent bulbs, flattering to skin tones and warm wood finishes. With a CRI of 90, it renders colors accurately, ideal for living spaces and kitchens.
Sizing and fit
This fan measures 48 inches in blade sweep and 12 inches from ceiling to bottom (without light kit). It comes with a 4.5-inch downrod and is designed for flat or slightly sloped ceilings (up to 19° slope). Optional downrods up to 72 inches are available to achieve the optimal 7–9 ft hanging height. The canopy is 7.09 inches in diameter, and the housing is 8.07 inches.
