Description
A 48-inch damp-rated ceiling fan from Fanimation's Spitfire collection, finished in brushed nickel with three buttonwood blades, for covered outdoor spaces and large indoor rooms.
The Spitfire pairs a sleek three-blade silhouette with a brushed nickel finish and buttonwood blades, blending modern style with dependable airflow. Its damp rating makes it a versatile choice for covered patios, sunrooms, and bathrooms, while the reversible motor delivers year-round comfort. With a 3-speed AC motor and included handheld remote, this fan is as practical as it is stylish.
Best for
- Covered patios and porches, where damp-rated construction handles humidity without direct rain exposure
- Sunrooms and three-season rooms needing consistent airflow up to 5,176 CFM
- Bathrooms and laundry rooms with high humidity, thanks to the damp location rating
- Bedrooms and living areas with ceilings up to 19° slope, using the included 4.5-inch downrod
- Smart home setups, as it's compatible with Fanimation fanSync and most smart devices (controls sold separately)
Not ideal for
- Outdoor areas directly exposed to rain or water, as the damp rating does not cover wet locations
- Rooms with ceilings under 8 feet if you need a hanging height below 12 inches, unless you use a flush mount kit
How bright is it?
This fan does not include a light kit, so brightness is not applicable. If you need illumination, consider the Spitfire with an integrated LED light kit (sold separately).
Light color and feel
No light included, so color temperature and CRI are not applicable. The fan's brushed nickel finish and buttonwood blades create a neutral, modern look that complements most palettes.
Sizing and fit
With a 48-inch blade sweep and overall dimensions of 48 x 48 x 12 inches, this fan suits medium to large rooms. The included 4.5-inch downrod places the fan 12 inches from the ceiling, and optional downrods up to 72 inches allow for optimal 7–9 ft hanging height. It fits flat or sloped ceilings up to 19°.
