This Fanimation downrod extends your ceiling fan to the recommended 7 to 9 feet above the floor, improving airflow and comfort. Best for
- Living rooms and bedrooms with ceilings 9 ft or higher, to lower the fan to an effective height
- Covered patios, porches, and other damp-rated indoor or outdoor spaces
- Rooms with sloped or vaulted ceilings where a standard downrod is too short
- Replacing a shorter downrod to improve air circulation and light distribution
Not ideal for
- Rooms with ceilings under 8 ft, where a flush mount is usually better
- Wet locations exposed directly to rain or water spray
- Fans that require a larger or smaller downrod diameter than 1 inch

Is the bulb included? This is a downrod, not a light fixture, so no bulb is included.
Is it dimmable, and what dimmer should I use? This downrod does not control dimming; dimming depends on the fan's light kit and remote/wall control.
Can I install this in a bathroom or outdoors? Yes, this downrod is rated for damp locations, so it can be used in bathrooms and covered outdoor areas, but not in wet locations with direct water exposure.

Returns
Almost all products on hausappeal.com are returnable. The few exceptions include unsealed mattresses, assembled or modified products, and clearance merchandise. Any product that is non-returnable will note that on its product page.
All returns must be unused and shipped back in the original packaging to the warehouse address from which the order was shipped.  To initiate a return, send an email to us at Service@hausappeal.com so that we can provide you with a Return Authorization Number. Upon inspection of the return, you will receive a full refund of product cost minus our outbound shipping costs.
