The Cortex sconce pairs a central opal white acrylic diffuser with a sleeve of thin ribbed glass, so the light reads bright and even while the ribbing adds texture and shadow. The natural aged brass steel and aluminum housing brings warmth and a slightly lived-in patina, and because the fixture projects only 2.5 inches from the wall it works in tight spaces where a deeper sconce would crowd the room.
