Description
A 15-inch down pendant with clear domed glass and a matte black finish, made for kitchen islands, dining rooms, and foyers.
The Skylar pendant pairs a modern industrial silhouette with artisan craftsmanship. The clear domed glass shade shows off the bulb and throws light downward in a focused pool, while the matte black finish keeps the look sleek and understated. It hangs from a 36-inch stem and works equally well over a kitchen island or as a single statement piece in an entryway.
Best for
- Kitchen islands and breakfast bars - one or two pendants over a 6-8 ft island
- Dining rooms with 8-9 ft ceilings, hung 30-36 in above the table
- Foyers and entryways where a single downlight anchors the space
- Bedrooms and dens as a focused reading or task light
Not ideal for
- Rooms where you need broad ambient light - this is a down pendant, not a room-filling fixture
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 ft if you want the full 36-inch stem extended
How bright is it?
Brightness depends on the bulb you choose. With a 60W-equivalent LED (about 800 lumens), it reads as a focused task light - bright directly below, softer at the edges. It is not designed to light an entire room on its own.
Light color and feel
Light color is set by the bulb, not the fixture. A 2700K-3000K bulb gives a warm, golden tone that flatters wood and brass; 4000K reads cooler and more modern. The fixture is dimmable, so pair it with a compatible dimmer for full control.
Sizing and fit
Overall 15 in W x 18.25 in H, with a 14.25 in W x 14 in H glass shade. Maximum hanging height is 54.25 in. The 5 in W backplate and 36 in stem suit standard 8-9 ft ceilings. Item weight is 9.92 lbs.
