Description
A sleek 1-light wall sconce with a flat black finish and white linen shade, ideal for adding elegant accent lighting to bedrooms and hallways.
The Craftmade Astor collection combines modern design with timeless elegance. This sconce features a flat black steel frame with graceful double arms and a textured white linen shade that diffuses light beautifully. Its clean lines and versatile finish make it a perfect addition to transitional or contemporary interiors.
Best for
- Primary bedrooms, mounted as a reading sconce beside the bed
- Hallways and entryways, providing ambient light and visual interest
- Living rooms, flanking a fireplace or artwork
- Dining rooms, as supplemental wall lighting
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms or outdoor areas - this fixture is rated for indoor use only
- Spaces with low ceilings if a larger scale is desired
How bright is it?
With a single 60W bulb (not included), this sconce provides approximately 800 lumens - similar to a standard 60W incandescent. It's ideal for accent or ambient lighting, not as a primary light source for large rooms.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, inviting glow, use a 2700K-3000K LED bulb. The white linen shade softly diffuses light, reducing glare and creating a cozy atmosphere. This fixture is dimmable when used with a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable bulb.
Sizing and fit
Measuring 5 inches wide, 16.5 inches high, and extending 6.5 inches from the wall, this sconce is compact enough for narrow spaces yet tall enough to make a statement. It works well in rooms with 8-9 foot ceilings and can be mounted vertically or horizontally.
