How bright is it?
Each lamp is rated for one 100W bulb and lists 1500 lumens - roughly the brightness of a 100W incandescent. That is warm ambient light for a bedroom or living area, not a primary room light. Bulbs are not included.
Light color and feel
Light color depends on the bulb you install; the lamp is not color-tuned. The black linen tapered shade keeps the glow warm and contained, which suits evening and accent lighting. A 3-way rotary switch on the socket lets you step between three brightness levels.
