How bright is it?

Each lamp takes one 100W bulb and the manufacturer lists a 1500-lumen output at that wattage - roughly the brightness of a traditional 100W incandescent. That is plenty for reading or for lighting a whole corner of a room, and the 3-way switch lets you dial it down to a soft accent level.

Light color and feel

Light color depends on the bulb you choose - the lamp ships without bulbs. The taupe linen shade with its fabric liner warms and diffuses whatever bulb you install, so a 2700K or 3000K bulb will read as a soft golden glow. The 3-way rotary socket lets you set the mood without a wall dimmer.
