Description
A 12-inch square flush mount ceiling light for bedrooms, hallways, and entryways, finished in black with brushed brass accents and clear glass panels.
The Lucian collection, designed by Kevin Kraemer, reimagines the classic lantern as a modern flush mount. Black steel framing pairs with brushed brass details and clear glass panels that surround four bulbs, so the light reads clean and architectural without feeling heavy. It sits close to the ceiling, making it a good fit for rooms where a hanging fixture would crowd the space.
Best for
- Bedrooms and hallways where a low-profile ceiling light is needed
- Entryways and foyers with standard 8-9 ft ceilings
- Dining nooks and kitchens that need ambient overhead light
- Damp locations such as bathrooms without direct shower spray
Not ideal for
- Rooms with very high ceilings where a pendant or chandelier would be more proportionate
- Spaces where you want a single bright light source - this is an ambient fixture, not a task light
- Outdoor or wet locations - rated for damp locations only
How bright is it?
Brightness depends on the bulbs you choose. It takes four 40W-equivalent E26 LED bulbs (not included), so with standard 40W-equivalent LEDs you get roughly 1,800-2,000 lumens total - comparable to a bright ceiling fixture for a medium room. Use higher-output LEDs if you need more light.
Light color and feel
Light color is determined by the bulbs you install. With 2700K-3000K warm white LEDs, the clear glass and brass accents will feel warm and inviting; with 4000K bulbs it will read cooler and more modern. The fixture is dimmable when paired with compatible dimmable bulbs and a standard dimmer switch.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 12 in L x 12 in W x 8 in H, with a 6 in minimum hanging height. The 12-inch square footprint suits bedrooms, hallways, and entryways up to about 12 x 12 ft. It is not rated for sloped ceilings.
