Description
A single-light wall sconce from the Castilla collection, finished in matte black with opal glass, designed for bathroom vanities and powder rooms.
The Castilla sconce combines classic chic styling with versatile design. The matte black metal frame and opal glass shade create a soft, diffused glow that complements farmhouse, transitional, and eclectic interiors. The up/down mounting orientation allows flexibility in placement.
Best for
- Bathroom vanities 24-36 in wide, mounted as a pair on either side of the mirror
- Powder rooms, mounted above a small sink or console table
- Hallways or entryways, used as accent lighting
- Bedrooms, mounted as reading sconces beside the bed
Not ideal for
- Outdoor or uncovered areas - this fixture is rated for damp locations only, not wet
- Spaces requiring bright task lighting - uses a single 60W bulb (not included)
How bright is it?
Brightness depends on the bulb used (max 60W incandescent or equivalent LED). With a standard 60W bulb, expect about 800 lumens - suitable for ambient or accent lighting, not as a primary room light.
Light color and feel
The opal glass shade diffuses light softly, reducing glare. Bulb color temperature is not specified - choose your own bulb (E26 base) to achieve warm or cool light as desired. Not dimmable unless a dimmable bulb and compatible dimmer are used.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 7.88 inches wide, 11.88 inches high, and extends 9.88 inches from the wall. Canopy diameter is 4.75 inches. Suitable for damp locations, making it safe for bathroom use.
