Description
A 12-inch 1-light pendant from Kichler's Taubert collection, finished in black, ideal for kitchen islands and dining areas with a transitional aesthetic.
The Taubert pendant offers a clean, transitional design with a black finish and steel construction. Its simple silhouette works well in a variety of settings, from modern kitchens to classic dining rooms. The fixture includes a slope ceiling kit for versatile installation.
Best for
- Kitchen islands and breakfast bars, hung singly or in pairs over a 4-6 ft counter
- Dining rooms and breakfast nooks, providing focused task lighting over a table
- Entryways and foyers with 8-9 ft ceilings, used as a single statement pendant
- Living rooms and home offices, adding ambient light in a seating area
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms or covered outdoor areas - rated for dry locations only
- Spaces under 8 ft ceilings if you need a long drop - minimum hanging height is 51 in
How bright is it?
Uses one 100W A19 bulb (not included). With an incandescent bulb, expect about 1600 lumens - sufficient for task lighting over a counter or ambient light in a small room. An LED equivalent (15-18W) provides similar brightness with less heat.
Light color and feel
Bulb-dependent. With a warm 2700K-3000K LED or incandescent bulb, the open design delivers direct, warm light. The fixture is not specified as dimmable, so plan for on/off control unless using a dimmable bulb and compatible dimmer (not guaranteed).
