Description
A 6-light foyer pendant in black steel with natural brass accents, designed for entryways and stairwells.
The Piston collection by Kichler brings sleek industrial-era style with a black mesh cage structure and natural brass accents. The open cage design allows the bulbs to be visible, adding a raw, mechanical aesthetic that suits modern lofts and transitional homes.
Best for
- Two-story entryways and foyers with ceilings 10 ft or higher
- Stairwells and landings where a dramatic hanging light is desired
- Open-plan living areas with industrial or contemporary decor
- Dining rooms with high ceilings, hung above a table
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms or covered outdoor areas - this fixture is rated for dry locations only
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 ft - the minimum hanging height is 36 inches of chain plus the fixture height
- Rooms requiring dimmable lighting - this fixture is not dimmable
How bright is it?
Uses six 75W medium-base bulbs (not included). Brightness depends on the bulbs you choose; with 75W incandescent bulbs, expect about 900 lumens per bulb for a total of 5400 lumens - very bright, suitable for a large foyer or stairwell as primary lighting.
Light color and feel
Light color depends on the bulbs installed. For a warm, inviting glow, use 2700K-3000K LED bulbs. The open cage design casts light in all directions, creating ambient illumination with some shadow play from the cage.
