Best for
- Living rooms 12x14 ft or larger, providing ambient overhead light
- Hallways and entryways with 8-9 ft ceilings
- Bedrooms as a central ceiling light, paired with bedside lamps
- Dining rooms over a table, for general illumination
- Kitchens with an island, as a secondary light source
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms or covered outdoor areas - this fixture is rated for dry locations only
- Spaces with ceilings under 7.5 ft - the fixture hangs 13.25 inches
- Primary task lighting - 3 x 100W max bulbs provide ambient light, not focused task light
How bright is it?
With three 100W incandescent bulbs (not included), this fixture can produce up to 4800 lumens total - bright enough for a medium-sized room. For a softer glow, use lower wattage or dimmable bulbs. Actual brightness depends on the bulbs you choose.
Light color and feel
The satin etched glass diffuses light evenly, reducing glare and creating a warm, inviting ambiance. Use 2700K-3000K bulbs for a warm white glow that flatters skin tones and wood finishes. The fixture is dimmable when used with compatible dimmable bulbs and a standard dimmer switch.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions: 16 inches wide x 13.25 inches high. The backplate is 6 inches in diameter. This semi-flush mount works best in rooms with ceilings 8 ft or higher. It projects only 13.25 inches from the ceiling, making it suitable for hallways and rooms with low clearance.
