Description
A 4-light semi-flush mount ceiling fixture in Black, ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, and hallways with standard ceilings.
The Kichler Birkleigh semi-flush mount features a round, modern design with a Black steel finish. It accommodates four incandescent bulbs (not included) for ambient lighting. The compact profile makes it suitable for rooms with 8-9 ft ceilings where a flush mount is too low but a chandelier is too tall.
Best for
- Living rooms and family rooms 10x12 ft or larger, providing general ambient light
- Bedrooms with 8-9 ft ceilings, mounted in the center of the room
- Hallways and entryways where a low-profile fixture is needed
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms or covered outdoor areas - this fixture is rated for dry locations only
- Spaces under 8 ft ceilings, as the 13-inch height may feel too low
- Rooms requiring bright task lighting, as the fixture is designed for ambient light
How bright is it?
With four 75W incandescent bulbs (300W total), it can produce up to 4500 lumens - bright enough for a medium to large room. Actual brightness depends on bulbs used.
Light color and feel
Bulb color temperature depends on bulbs chosen; incandescent bulbs typically emit 2700K warm white. The fixture is dimmable when used with dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 13 inches in height with a 6-inch diameter backplate. It is designed for ceilings 8 ft or higher.
