Description
A 7-light globe pendant from the Newton Sphere collection, finished in brushed satin nickel with light smoke glass shades, for kitchen islands and dining rooms.
The Newton Sphere brings modern industrial style with its iconic globe-shaped shades, available in glass or metal. This version features light smoke glass that diffuses light beautifully. The brushed satin nickel finish and cast brass details add architectural interest. Pendants can be hung at staggered heights for a custom look.
Best for
- Kitchen islands 8 ft or longer, hung in a row for even task lighting
- Dining rooms with a 6-8 ft table, centered above for ambient light
- Open-plan living areas where a statement fixture is needed
- Sloped ceilings - this fixture is sloped ceiling compatible
- Damp locations like covered patios or sunrooms
Not ideal for
- Low ceilings under 8 ft - the minimum hanging height is 22.75 inches
- Spaces needing a single compact light - this is a large 51-inch-wide fixture
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - damp rated, not wet rated
How bright is it?
Lumen output not specified by manufacturer. Each socket accepts up to 100W incandescent (or equivalent LED), so with 7 bulbs this can provide substantial ambient light. For reference, 7 x 100W incandescent would be very bright, suitable for a large kitchen or dining area.
Light color and feel
Color temperature not specified. The light smoke glass shades will soften and diffuse the light, creating a warm, ambient glow. Dimmable when used with compatible dimmer and bulbs.
