Description
A 66-inch downbridge floor lamp from the Studio Collection, with a black metal frame and an off-white linen hardback shade that arcs light down over a chair or sofa.
The downbridge silhouette reaches out over a seat rather than straight up, putting the shade directly above a book or a lap. The black metal frame and off-white linen hardback shade keep the look tailored and neutral, and the wide 24-inch base keeps the reach stable.
Best for
- Reading chairs and recliners where light should fall directly onto the page
- Living rooms where a sofa sits away from a wall outlet and needs overhead task light
- Bedrooms, placed beside a bed as a taller alternative to a table lamp
- Home offices and studies with a lounge chair in the corner
Not ideal for
- Tight corners - the 24-inch base and 28-inch width need real floor space
- Low ceilings, where the downbridge arm and 66-inch height may feel crowded
- Anyone wanting a built-in dimmer - the switch is on the socket
How bright is it?
Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer. It takes one incandescent bulb (not included); the downbridge placement concentrates light where you need it for reading.
Light color and feel
Color temperature is not specified by the manufacturer and depends on the bulb you choose. The off-white linen hardback shade softens the light into a warm, even pool over the seating area.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 28 in wide x 24 in deep x 65.5 in tall (listed as 66 in), with a 24-inch base and a 13 x 14 x 9 in shade. The 24-inch reach means the shade can sit over a chair while the base stays behind it.
