Designers Fountain Ele 7in 1-Light Semi-Flush Mount | Modern Matte Black and Clear Smoke Glass | Bedroom & Hallway Ceiling Light | Model D288M-SF-MB

A 1-light semi-flush ceiling mount with a matte black finish and a sculptural clear smoke glass shade, built for bedrooms, hallways, and other small-to-medium rooms.

The Ele semi-flush sits close to the ceiling but still makes a statement - the clear smoke glass shade is shaped like a piece of sculpture, and the matte black finish gives it a moody, modern edge. Because it hugs the ceiling, it works in rooms where a full pendant would hang too low. The shade is open at the bottom, so light spills downward onto the floor and walls.

Best for

• Bedrooms and guest rooms that need soft overhead light
• Hallways, entryways, and utility rooms with standard 8-9 ft ceilings
• Small-to-medium rooms where a pendant would hang too low
• Modern, industrial, or monochrome interiors

Not ideal for

• Bathrooms with shower exposure or any outdoor area - rated for dry indoor locations only
• Large open rooms that need a high-output light - at 800 lumens max this is a single-bulb fixture
• Very low ceilings under 7.5 ft where even a semi-flush feels tight

How bright is it?

Up to 800 lumens with a 60W-equivalent bulb - about the brightness of a standard 60W incandescent. Good for a bedroom, hallway, or entryway, but not enough to light a large living room on its own.

Light color and feel

Light color depends on the bulb you choose; the fixture ships without one. The clear smoke glass tints the light slightly and adds depth, while the open bottom lets light spill downward. A warm white LED (2700K-3000K) softens the matte black look; a cooler bulb gives a crisper, more industrial feel. Dimmable with a standard wall dimmer when used with a dimmable bulb.

Sizing and fit

Overall 7.25 in wide x 10.25 in tall. The shade is 7.25 in across and 8.25 in tall, and the 5.25 in backplate fits a standard ceiling junction box. Best in rooms with 8-9 ft ceilings; the semi-flush profile keeps it out of the way in hallways and bedrooms.
