Description
A 5-inch mini pendant from the Ballston collection, finished in antique copper with a mercury glass bell shade, ideal for kitchen islands and dining areas.
This mini pendant features a hand-blown mercury glass shade that adds an artisanal, vintage character. The antique copper body and bell shape create a classic yet industrial look. It's a versatile choice for art nouveau, industrial, and restoration-vintage interiors.
Best for
- Kitchen islands, hung in a row of two or three for task lighting over a 6-8 ft counter
- Dining rooms, centered over a 4-6 person table for ambient light
- Breakfast nooks and casual eating areas
- Entryways and hallways, adding a decorative accent
- Covered patios and porches, thanks to its damp-rated construction
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this fixture is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 ft if you need a long drop - the minimum hanging height is 12.75 inches
- Primary room lighting in large open-plan areas - 100W incandescent is accent-level brightness
How bright is it?
Brightness depends on the bulb used; it accepts up to 100W incandescent (not included). For reference, a 60W incandescent produces about 800 lumens, suitable for accent or ambient light. For task lighting, consider pairing with additional fixtures.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, cozy feel, use a 2700K-3000K LED or incandescent bulb. The mercury glass shade diffuses light softly, creating a gentle, ambient glow.
Sizing and fit
This pendant measures 5 inches wide, 5 inches deep, and 9 inches high, with a hanging height range of 12.75 to 129.75 inches. The canopy is 4.5 inches in diameter. It works well over kitchen islands, dining tables, and in entryways with standard 8-9 ft ceilings.
