Description
A compact 3-inch mini pendant with a seedy glass shade, finished in brushed brass - ideal for adding a touch of Art Deco flair over kitchen islands, breakfast bars, or dining nooks.
The Boreas mini pendant brings the sleek silhouette of the Ballston together with the ability to customize. Fitted with a seedy glass shade from the Franklin collection, this fixture offers a contemporary yet Art Deco aesthetic. The brushed brass finish and steel/cast brass construction ensure durability and timeless style. With an adjustable 10-foot cord, it adapts to various ceiling heights and sloped ceilings.
Best for
- Kitchen islands and breakfast bars, hung in a row for task and ambient lighting
- Dining rooms and eat-in kitchens, providing focused light over tables
- Entryways and hallways, as a statement accent light
- Coffee bars and home bars, adding a stylish glow
- Covered patios and porches, thanks to its damp-rated construction
Not ideal for
- Large rooms needing primary illumination - this is an accent light, not a main light source
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 feet if you need the full 10-foot cord extended
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - damp-rated, but not wet-rated
How bright is it?
With a single 100W incandescent bulb (not included), this pendant can produce up to 1600 lumens - comparable to a traditional 100W bulb. It's bright enough for task lighting over a counter or table, but not intended to light an entire room. LED or CFL equivalents can provide similar brightness with less energy.
Light color and feel
The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the light level to your preference. The seedy glass shade diffuses light softly, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. The color temperature depends on the bulb you choose - opt for warm white (2700K-3000K) for a cozy feel, or cool white (3500K-4000K) for a more energetic atmosphere.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 3 inches wide by 3 inches deep by 13 inches high. The adjustable cord allows a hanging height range of 16.75 to 133.75 inches, making it suitable for most ceiling heights. The round canopy is 4.5 inches in diameter. This mini pendant is perfect for small spaces or for grouping in multiples.
