Description
A 3-inch mini pendant from the Boreas collection, finished in black antique brass with a seedy glass shade, for kitchen islands and dining nooks.
The Boreas takes the sleek silhouette of the Ballston and adds a touch of flair with interchangeable glass shades from the Franklin collection. This compact pendant features a cylindrical seedy glass shade that diffuses light softly, while the black antique brass finish adds a contemporary, art deco edge. It hangs from a 10-foot adjustable cord, making it easy to customize the height for your space.
Best for
- Kitchen islands and breakfast bars, hung in a row for task and ambient lighting
- Dining rooms and eat-in kitchens, providing focused light over a table
- Entryways and hallways, as a stylish accent light
- Coffee bars and sideboards, adding a warm glow
- Covered patios and sunrooms, thanks to its damp-rated construction
Not ideal for
- Large rooms needing bright, general illumination - this is a single 100W bulb fixture
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 feet if you need the full 10-foot cord length
How bright is it?
Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer, but it accepts a 100W incandescent bulb (not included), which typically produces around 1600 lumens - enough for accent and task lighting, but not as a primary room light.
Light color and feel
Color temperature depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, cozy feel, use a 2700K-3000K LED bulb. The seedy glass shade diffuses light, reducing glare and creating a soft, inviting glow. The fixture is dimmable when used with a compatible dimmer and dimmable bulbs.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 3 inches wide by 3 inches deep by 13 inches high, with a shade that is 3 inches in diameter and 11 inches high. The overall height can be adjusted from 16.75 to 133.75 inches thanks to the 10-foot cord. It works well in kitchens with standard 8-foot ceilings and can be hung lower over islands or tables.
