Description
A 16-inch mini pendant from the Appalachian collection, finished in black antique brass with a matte black metal cone shade, ideal for kitchen islands and dining areas.
Part of the Franklin Restoration line, this pendant brings a touch of industrial style with its heavy cast brass and steel construction. The black antique brass finish and matte black shade create a cohesive, traditional look that complements a variety of decors. The cone-shaped shade focuses light downward, making it perfect for task lighting over counters or tables.
Best for
- Kitchen islands, providing focused task lighting for food prep and dining.
- Dining rooms, hung in a row over a table for ambient and task lighting.
- Breakfast nooks and bar areas, adding a warm, inviting glow.
- Entryways and foyers, as a statement piece that welcomes guests.
- Covered patios and porches, thanks to its damp-rated construction.
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure, as it is damp-rated but not wet-rated.
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 feet, as the minimum hanging height is about 8.88 inches, but the cord can be adjusted.
- Rooms where you need a primary light source, as a single 100-watt bulb may not provide enough overall illumination for large areas.
How bright is it?
This pendant uses a single 100-watt incandescent bulb (not included) and is compatible with LED, fluorescent, and halogen bulbs. The actual brightness depends on the bulb you choose; with a 100-watt incandescent, you can expect around 1600 lumens, similar to a traditional 100-watt bulb, providing ample light for a kitchen island or dining table.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulb you install. For a warm, inviting feel, choose a bulb with a color temperature of 2700K-3000K, which emits a soft, golden glow that flatters skin tones and warm interiors. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the mood from bright task lighting to a softer ambient glow.
Sizing and fit
This mini pendant measures 16 inches in diameter and 5.88 inches in height, with an adjustable hanging height from 8.88 to 125.88 inches. It includes 10 feet of black textured cord, making it suitable for ceilings up to 10 feet or more. The canopy is 4.5 inches in diameter, and the fixture weighs just 1.6 pounds, making it easy to install on standard junction boxes.
