Quoizel Melville 42in 6-Light Island Chandelier | Rustic Iron Gate Steel | Kitchen Island & Dining Room | 42 x 18 x 9.25 in | Model MVL642IN

A 42-inch six-light island chandelier for kitchen islands and dining rooms, finished in Iron Gate steel.

Melville is built for linear spaces: A long, low profile that spreads light evenly over a kitchen island or dining table. The Iron Gate finish is a dark, rustic tone that suits craftsman, industrial, and transitional interiors. It is dimmable and uses a rotary two-circuit switch on the base, so you can control the two light groups separately.

Best for

• Kitchen islands 6 ft or longer, hung as the main light over the counter
• Dining rooms with a rectangular table 6-8 ft long
• Open-concept kitchens where you want a linear focal point
• Anyone who wants two-circuit control to light the island and dining area separately

Not ideal for

• Small kitchens or dining nooks - the 42 in width needs a long surface below it
• Rooms with ceilings under 8 ft if you need to hang it low over a table
• Spaces where you want a compact or round chandelier

How bright is it?

With six 100W medium-base or GU10 bulbs, this chandelier can produce roughly 4800 lumens total depending on the bulbs - bright enough to serve as the primary light over a kitchen island or dining table.

Light color and feel

Light color depends on the bulbs you install. Warm white bulbs (2700K-3000K) give a soft, inviting glow for dining; cooler bulbs read more crisp and task-oriented for kitchen work. The Iron Gate finish pairs well with dark wood, stone, and industrial metals.
