Description
A one-light outdoor hanging lantern for covered porches and entryways, finished in Winchester with Arizona glass.
The Barton hanging lantern brings a traditional pendant silhouette to the exterior of the house. The Winchester finish is paired with Arizona glass, and the fixture hangs from a 6 ft chain so you can set the drop to suit your porch ceiling. It is a compact single-bulb lantern that reads as classic rather than modern.
Best for
- Covered front porches and porticos, hung above the door or centered on the porch
- Covered entryways and breezeways with a ceiling to hang from
- Traditional and craftsman homes that suit a dark Winchester finish
- Pairing two lanterns along a covered walkway
Not ideal for
- Exposed, uncovered locations - it hangs from a chain and needs a sheltered ceiling
- Low porch ceilings where a 12 in drop plus chain would hang too close to head height
- Anyone wanting a large statement pendant - this is a compact 7 in wide lantern
How bright is it?
Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer. It takes one medium-base incandescent bulb up to 100W - enough to light a doorway and welcome guests, not to illuminate a whole yard.
Light color and feel
Light color depends on the bulb installed; the Arizona glass shapes the output into a warm, traditional lantern glow. A warm-white bulb complements the Winchester finish.

Overall 12 in high x 7 in wide, with a 3/4 in high x 5 in wide canopy. It ships with 6 ft of chain and 7 ft of wire, so you can set the hanging height across most porch ceilings. Weight is 5.06 lbs.
