Description
A 1-light outdoor post light in Winchester black with seedy glass, made for driveways, walkways, and yard posts.
The Barlow post lantern keeps a traditional shape with a deep Winchester finish and textured seedy glass that softens the bulb and hides weather spots. It mounts on a standard post or pier, so it lines a path or marks a driveway entrance without dominating the landscape.
Best for
- Driveway entrances and long walkways, spaced every 8-10 ft along a path
- Yard and garden posts where a lantern silhouette fits the architecture
- Pier and column mounts at the end of a fence or retaining wall
- Traditional, craftsman, and colonial exteriors
Not ideal for
- Wall mounting - this is a post-mount fixture with a 3 1/4 in canopy, not a wall sconce
- Large estate driveways that need a taller, wider lantern for scale
- Spaces needing high output - one 100W-max bulb gives accent-level light
How bright is it?
Takes one medium-base incandescent bulb up to 100W (not included). Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer because it depends on the bulb - a 60W-equivalent LED is enough to mark a path, a 100W bulb lights a wider driveway edge.
Light color and feel
Color temperature follows your bulb. A warm 2700K-3000K bulb suits traditional exteriors and reads welcoming at night; the seedy glass spreads light softly rather than in a sharp cone.
Sizing and fit
