Livex Somerset 42in 5-Light Island Chandelier | Contemporary Brushed Nickel and Satin Glass | Kitchen Island & Dining Room | Model 4227-91

A 42-inch five-light island chandelier for kitchen islands and dining rooms, finished in brushed nickel with satin glass shades.

The Somerset collection pairs clean contemporary lines with a soft brushed nickel finish that resists fingerprints and blends with stainless appliances. Five satin glass shades diffuse light evenly across a long counter or table, making this fixture a practical centerpiece rather than a decorative afterthought.

Best for

• Kitchen islands 6 ft or longer, hung 30-36 in above the countertop
• Dining rooms with tables seating six to eight
• Open-concept kitchens where the island doubles as a prep and gathering space
• Contemporary and transitional interiors with brushed nickel or stainless hardware

Not ideal for

• Rooms with ceilings under 8 ft where a 42-inch-wide fixture would crowd the space
• Spaces that need a single tight pool of task light rather than broad ambient coverage
• Wet or damp locations - this fixture is not rated for bathroom or outdoor use

How bright is it?

Takes five 100W medium-base bulbs (not included). Lumen output depends on the bulbs you choose; with standard 100W-equivalent LEDs expect roughly 1,600 lumens per bulb, enough to light a large island or dining table as a primary light source.

Light color and feel

Light color is set by your bulbs. Satin glass softens glare and spreads a warm, even glow; choose 2700-3000K bulbs for a traditional warm feel or 3500K for a cleaner kitchen look. Dimmable when paired with dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer.

Sizing and fit
