Livex Lighting Home Basics 42in 24-Light Chandelier | Traditional Brushed Nickel | Dining Room & Foyer | 42 x 50 in | Model 4180-91

A 24-light traditional chandelier in brushed nickel, sized for large dining rooms and two-story foyers.

The Home Basics collection keeps the classic candelabra silhouette simple and symmetrical, so the brushed nickel finish and the warm glow of 24 bulbs carry the look. The frame hangs from a 6-foot chain, letting you tune the drop to your ceiling height, and the soft silver tone suits both traditional and transitional rooms.

Best for

• Dining rooms with a table 60 in or wider, hung 30-36 in above the tabletop
• Two-story foyers and entry halls where a large statement piece anchors the view
• Great rooms and open living spaces with ceilings 10 ft or higher
• Transitional and modern-classic interiors with cool-toned or gray finishes

Not ideal for

• Standard 8 ft ceilings - the 50 in overall height and 42 in width need more headroom
• Small breakfast nooks or powder rooms - this is a large-scale fixture
• Outdoor or damp locations - no damp or wet rating is stated for this chandelier

How bright is it?

Brightness depends on the bulbs you choose. With 24 candelabra sockets at 40W max each, it can deliver a great deal of light - enough to serve as the primary light for a large dining room. Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer because bulbs are not included.

Light color and feel

Color temperature follows your bulbs. Warm white (2700-3000K) candelabra bulbs soften the brushed nickel and flatter wood dining tables; clear bulbs give a more formal, sparkling effect. Dimmability depends on the bulbs and dimmer you install - the fixture itself does not specify a dimming rating.

Sizing and fit

Overall dimensions are 42 in wide by 50 in high, with a 6 ft chain and 12 ft of wire, plus a 5 in diameter canopy. The chain lets you shorten the drop for rooms with 10-12 ft ceilings; in a two-story foyer you can use more of the chain. Plan for a table or floor area roughly 60 in wide or more beneath it.
