Description
An 8-inch flush mount from the Newton Sphere collection, finished in polished nickel with a matte white glass globe shade, for hallways and bedrooms.
The Newton Sphere flush mount brings a modern industrial aesthetic with its iconic globe-shaped glass shade. The polished nickel finish and matte white glass create a bright, clean look that suits contemporary and industrial interiors. The shade is easily removed for cleaning, and the fixture is damp-rated for versatile placement.
Best for
- Hallways and corridors, providing even ambient light
- Bedrooms, as a primary ceiling light in rooms up to 12x12 ft
- Entryways and foyers, making a subtle statement
- Bathrooms (away from direct water) thanks to its damp rating
- Covered porches or patios, adding light without taking up space
Not ideal for
- Large living rooms or open spaces needing bright, widespread illumination - this is a single 100W fixture
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Spaces with low ceilings - the flush mount design is best for ceilings at least 7 ft
How bright is it?
Lumen output not specified by manufacturer. With a 100W incandescent bulb (not included), expect roughly 1600 lumens - similar to a standard 100W bulb, suitable for ambient lighting in medium-sized rooms.
Light color and feel
Color temperature depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, inviting glow, use a 2700K-3000K LED bulb. The matte white glass shade diffuses light softly, reducing glare and creating a pleasant ambiance. The fixture is dimmable when used with a compatible dimmer and dimmable bulb.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 8" W x 8" D x 12" H. The shade is 8" in diameter and 9.13" high. The canopy is 4.5" in diameter. This flush mount is ideal for ceilings 7 ft and higher, and works well in hallways, bedrooms, and entryways.
