Description
A slim 11-inch picture light in satin nickel that mounts above artwork to provide even, focused illumination without glare.
The Slim-line series is designed for collectors and decorators who want the art to be the star, not the lighting. The satin nickel finish is a soft, brushed metallic that blends with modern and transitional interiors, while the low-profile metal shade directs light downward across the canvas. It is a plug-in fixture with an in-line hi-lo switch, making it easy to install without an electrician.
Best for
- Living rooms and home galleries with medium-sized paintings or prints up to 24 inches wide
- Hallways and stairwells where artwork needs accent lighting without hardwiring
- Bedrooms with a single piece of art above a dresser or headboard
- Offices and studies with a favorite photograph or diploma
Not ideal for
- Very large artworks over 36 inches wide - the 11-inch shade may not cover the full width evenly
- Bathrooms or outdoor areas - this fixture is rated for dry locations only
- Ceilings lower than 8 feet if the artwork is hung high, as the 8-inch extension may bring the shade too close to the frame
How bright is it?
Uses two 15W T4 incandescent bulbs (included). Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer, but this is an accent light intended to highlight art, not to illuminate a room. It provides a soft, focused glow.
Light color and feel
Incandescent bulbs emit a warm, yellowish light (approximately 2700K) that enhances the colors of paintings and photographs. The in-line hi-lo switch lets you choose between two brightness levels. The fixture is not dimmable with a wall dimmer.
Sizing and fit
Dimensions: 3 in W x 11 in D x 23 in H. The 11-inch shade is ideal for artwork 18-24 inches wide. The 8-inch extension from the wall provides clearance for framed pieces. The plug-in cord with 2-prong plug allows easy installation near an outlet.
