House of Troy Advent Profile 16in 2-Light Picture Light | Satin Nickel Metal Shade | Living Room & Gallery Art Lighting | 16 in | Model APR16-52

A 16-inch plug-in picture light in satin nickel, made to wash artwork, portraits, and gallery walls in even light without any hardwiring.

The Advent Profile pairs a slim satin nickel shade with a low-profile arm that sits close to the frame, so the light lands on the canvas rather than the room. Because it plugs into a standard outlet with a 2-prong cord and switches in-line, it works on walls where an electrician is not an option. The brushed satin nickel finish reads cool and modern, a good match for black-and-white photography, contemporary prints, and gray or white interiors.

Best for

• Living rooms and home offices with a large canvas or framed print that needs even top-down light
• Gallery walls and stairwells where a plug-in cord can reach an outlet
• Rentals and apartments where adding a wall circuit is not practical
• Portraits and photography in satin nickel-friendly modern or transitional rooms

Not ideal for

• Walls with no nearby outlet - this is a plug-in model with a 2-prong cord, not a hardwired fixture
• Very large oversize artworks wider than the 16-inch shade, which would leave the edges dim
• Outdoor or bathroom use - no damp or wet rating is stated for this fixture

How bright is it?

Two 15T4 incandescent bulbs are included. Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer, but a pair of 15W T4 bulbs gives a soft accent wash suited to highlighting art rather than lighting a whole room.

Light color and feel

Incandescent T4 bulbs produce a warm, golden-white light close to traditional household bulbs - flattering to oil paintings, warm wood frames, and skin tones in portraits. Color temperature and CRI are not specified by the manufacturer. Dimming is not stated; brightness is controlled by the in-line switch.

Sizing and fit

The shade measures 16 inches wide and extends 8 inches from the wall, with an overall fixture footprint of about 7 in wide x 10 in deep x 20 in high. That 16-inch shade suits medium to large framed pieces roughly 24 to 40 inches wide. The 3 lb weight is light enough for most drywall with a proper anchor.
