Best for
- Bedrooms, mounted as a reading light beside the bed
- Hallways, placed at eye level to create a warm glow
- Living rooms, flanking a fireplace or console table
- Entryways, adding a welcoming accent
- Dining rooms, used in pairs for ambient lighting
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this fixture is rated for damp locations, not wet locations
- Outdoor uncovered areas - not rated for wet locations
- Spaces where you need bright task lighting - this is an accent fixture
How bright is it?
Lumen output not specified by manufacturer, but it accepts a single 100W incandescent bulb (not included). As a guide, a 100W incandescent produces about 1600 lumens, which is bright for accent lighting but not overpowering.
Light color and feel
Color temperature depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, cozy feel, choose a 2700K-3000K LED bulb. The gloss white glass shade diffuses light softly, reducing glare.
