Description
A large 1-light outdoor wall sconce for entryways, garage walls, and porch columns, finished in Winchester black with Arizona glass.
The Barton brings a lantern-inspired silhouette to the exterior of the house, scaled generously so it reads clearly from the driveway. The Winchester finish is a deep, near-black tone that suits brick, stone, and painted siding alike, while the Arizona glass softens the bulb into a warm, diffused glow rather than a harsh point of light.
Best for
- Front entryways and covered porches, flanking a door at roughly eye level
- Garage walls and side doors where a larger lantern suits the scale of the facade
- Exterior columns and pillars on traditional or craftsman homes
- Pairing in twos or fours along a porch or walkway for a matched look
Not ideal for
- Small side doors or tight brick returns - at 13 in wide and 15.75 in deep this is a substantial fixture
- Applications needing a bulb included - the bulb is sold separately
- Low-clearance spots where the 19.75 in height would crowd a header or trim
How bright is it?
Takes one medium-base incandescent bulb up to 100W. Lumen output depends on the bulb you choose - a 100W-equivalent LED gives strong, welcoming light for a doorway, while a lower-wattage bulb keeps it as a softer accent. The Arizona glass diffuses the light so it reads as glow rather than glare.
Light color and feel
Color temperature follows the bulb, so you can tune it: a 2700K-3000K warm white bulb feels traditional and flattering against brick and wood, while a 4000K bulb reads crisper and more modern. Dimmability depends on the bulb and switch used.
Sizing and fit
Measures 19.75 in high x 13 in wide with a 15.75 in extension from the wall. The backplate is 13 in H x 9 1/4 in W x 1 3/4 in deep. Best suited to single-story entries and porches with at least 7 ft of clearance below the mounting point.
