Dolan Designs Barlow 1-Light Outdoor Wall Sconce | Traditional Winchester Black and Seedy Glass | Front Porch & Entryway | 15.5 in H | Model 9235-68

A 1-light outdoor wall sconce in Winchester black with seedy glass, sized for front porches, garage entries, and covered patios.

The Barlow pairs a traditional lantern silhouette with seedy glass that softly diffuses the bulb and hides dust between cleanings. The Winchester finish is a deep, near-black tone that reads classic against brick, siding, and stone without looking ornate.

Best for

• Front porches and entry doors, mounted singly or flanking the door
• Garage side entries and mudroom exterior walls
• Covered patios and breezeways where a wall-mounted light is easier than a post
• Traditional and craftsman exteriors that call for a lantern shape

Not ideal for

• Very wide walls that need a larger fixture to look balanced - this is a compact 5.5 in wide body
• Spaces where you want a bright wash of light - one 100W-max bulb is accent-level output
• Areas fully exposed to direct rain if your local code requires a wet-location rating - confirm the rating on the carton before installing

How bright is it?

Takes one medium-base incandescent bulb up to 100W (bulb not included). Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer because it depends on the bulb you choose - a 60W-equivalent LED gives comfortable porch-level light, a 100W bulb brightens a wider entry.

Light color and feel

Color temperature follows your bulb choice. A 2700K-3000K warm white bulb suits traditional exteriors and flatters brick and wood; the seedy glass softens glare and spreads light evenly rather than in a hard beam.

Sizing and fit

Overall 15.5 in high x 5.5 in wide, with a 5.5 in H x 4.5 in W backplate and 5 in extension from the wall. The tall, narrow profile suits single doors and columns; mount roughly at eye level or centered on the door frame. Hanging weight 3.3 lb.

Frequently asked

Is the bulb included? No - one medium-base bulb up to 100W is sold separately.

Is it dimmable? Dimmability depends on the bulb and wall switch you use; the fixture itself has no dimmer. Pair a dimmable bulb with a compatible dimmer if you want to adjust output.

Can I install this in a bathroom or outdoors? It is designed as an outdoor wall sconce and carries a UL/cUL safety rating; confirm the wet or damp location marking on the carton for your specific exposure.

What's the warranty? Warranty terms are not specified in the supplied data - check with Dolan Designs.

Will the seedy glass look dirty? Seedy glass has a subtle texture that hides water spots and dust better than clear glass, which is why it is common on porch lights.
