Description
A 4-light linear island light with an antique copper finish and mercury glass shades, ideal for kitchen islands and dining areas.
Part of the Preston Collection, this island light features a sleek Arcadia frame in antique copper with hand-blown mercury glass shades. The jar-shaped glass with delicate fluting adds vintage charm, while the minimalist frame keeps it modern. It fits well in industrial, modern contemporary, or transitional interiors.
Best for
- Kitchen islands 48-72 inches long, hung 30-36 inches above the countertop
- Dining room tables, providing focused task lighting over a 60-84 inch table
- Breakfast bars and peninsulas, adding ambient light and style
- Open living areas with 9-foot ceilings or higher, as a statement piece
- Entryways and hallways with long, narrow spaces, providing linear illumination
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this fixture is rated for damp locations, not wet locations
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 feet, as the minimum hanging height is 14.75 inches
- Rooms where you need a round or circular light fixture
How bright is it?
With four 100-watt bulbs (not included), this island light can produce up to 4000 lumens if using 100W incandescent bulbs, which is bright enough for task lighting over a kitchen island or dining table. It is dimmable, so you can adjust the brightness to create a softer ambiance for entertaining.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulbs you choose. With warm white bulbs (2700K-3000K), the light will have a soft, golden tone that flatters skin and warm interiors. The mercury glass shades diffuse the light, creating a soft, even glow and reducing glare. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to set the mood.
Sizing and fit
The island light measures 48 inches in length, 7 inches in depth, and 12.63 inches in height. The overall height can be adjusted from 14.75 to 38.75 inches using the included stems (two 6-inch and four 12-inch sections). It is sloped ceiling compatible, making it versatile for various ceiling types.
