Description
A 5-inch wall sconce from the Bridal Veil Collection, finished in antique copper with a mercury glass bell shade - perfect for bathrooms, entryways, and powder rooms that want a vintage, artisanal look.
This sconce is part of Innovations' Edison line, which combines the best of the Franklin and Ballston collections for versatile, industrial-inspired design. The antique copper finish on steel and cast brass is paired with a hand-blown mercury glass shade, giving each piece a unique, artisanal character. The bell-shaped shade and round backplate evoke Art Nouveau and Restoration-Vintage styles, making it a standout addition to any space.
Best for
- Bathrooms, mounted on either side of a vanity mirror for task lighting with a vintage, reflective glow
- Entryways and foyers, adding a warm welcome with a unique, artisanal touch
- Powder rooms, creating a focal point with its mercury glass and antique copper finish
- Hallways, providing ambient light and a touch of old-world charm
- Damp-rated locations like bathrooms or covered patios, where moisture resistance is needed
Not ideal for
- Large rooms needing primary overhead light - this sconce is best for accent or task lighting
- Spaces with very low ceilings if you prefer a flush mount, as this sconce extends 7 inches from the wall
- Ultra-modern or minimalist interiors that avoid vintage or ornate elements
How bright is it?
With a maximum 100W incandescent bulb (not included), this sconce can produce roughly 1600 lumens - about as bright as a 100W incandescent, suitable for accent lighting or reading when placed close to a seating area. For ambient light, consider a lower-wattage LED or dimmable bulb to soften the glow.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, inviting glow, use a 2700K-3000K LED bulb, which mimics traditional incandescent light and flatters wood tones and copper finishes. The mercury glass shade reflects and diffuses light, creating a soft, shimmering effect that adds depth and character. This sconce is dimmable, so you can adjust the brightness to suit your mood.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 7 inches long, 5 inches wide, and 11.25 inches high, with a 7-inch extension from the wall. The round backplate is 4.5 inches in diameter, and the shade is 5 inches in diameter. This sconce works well in rooms with standard 8-foot ceilings and can be mounted vertically (as intended) on any wall. It weighs just 3 pounds, so standard electrical boxes are sufficient.
