Description
A 9-inch 1-light rod pendant in polished chrome with a navy blue steel shade, sized for kitchen islands, dining rooms, and entryways.
The Duncan pendant takes the classic barn-light silhouette and gives it a crisp, high-gloss navy blue shade on a polished chrome frame. The smooth enamel-like finish reflects light and adds a strong pop of color to farmhouse, transitional, and industrial interiors. It is damp location rated, so it can also go in semi-enclosed spaces.
Best for
- Kitchen islands and breakfast bars where you want a focused pool of light
- Dining rooms and eat-in kitchens with 8-9 ft ceilings
- Entryways and foyers as a compact statement piece
- Covered porches and laundry rooms - damp location rated
Not ideal for
- Directly exposed outdoor areas - it is indoor use only and damp rated, not wet rated
- Very large rooms where a single 9-inch pendant would look undersized
- Spaces where you need a fully flush mount - this hangs from rods
How bright is it?
Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer. With one 100W bulb (100W max), it delivers enough light for a kitchen island or dining table, but it is a decorative pendant rather than a primary room light.
Light color and feel
Light color depends on the bulb you choose. The navy blue steel shade directs light downward and creates a warm, focused glow. It is dimmable, so you can pair it with a compatible dimmer for evening ambiance.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 8.88 in W x 8.88 in D x 14.25 in H. Height adjusts from 22.25 in to 58.25 in using the included 1 x 6 in rod and 3 x 12 in rods. It is sloped-ceiling compatible, so it works on vaulted or angled ceilings.
