Description
A 48-inch brushed brass linear island light with eight white linen shades, designed for kitchen islands and long dining tables.
The Layla collection, designed by Kevin Kraemer, features a plated brushed brass frame that holds white linen and etched glass shades in a layered, glamorous arrangement. The linear format spreads light evenly along a kitchen island or rectangular table, and the included rods allow height adjustment for different ceiling heights. Compatible with sloped ceilings.
Best for
- Kitchen islands 6-8 ft long that need even, linear lighting
- Rectangular or oval dining tables 60-72 in long
- Open-concept kitchens and dining areas with 8-10 ft ceilings
- Transitional or glam interiors with brass accents
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms or covered outdoor areas - rated for dry locations only
- Small kitchens or dining nooks where a 48 in linear fixture would overwhelm the space
- Rooms with ceilings under 8 ft if you need the full 72 in hanging length
How bright is it?
Uses eight 40W bulbs (not included) for up to 320W total - roughly 3200 lumens with LED bulbs, enough for ambient and task lighting over a kitchen island or dining table.
Light color and feel
Light color depends on the bulbs you choose. With warm white bulbs (2700-3000K), the white linen shades diffuse a soft, even glow. The fixture is dimmable, so you can pair it with a compatible dimmer switch to adjust brightness from task to ambient.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 47.9 in L x 15.75 in W x 12.2 in H. Includes 6x12 in and 4x6 in rods for a maximum hanging length of 72 in and a minimum hanging height of 6 in. Suitable for sloped ceilings. The 5.2 in canopy covers a standard junction box.
